Evaluation of Makerspace Team Internship

As part of the Makermatic Team Intenrship project, CCC Maker engaged Suzanne Valery, Valery Associates to evaluate the pilot.

The objective of Makermatic Team Internship was to increase the ratio of interns to business partner. Designed as a 7-session program, the twenty hour internship is a project-based learning experience that connects students to real world business problems. Students are guided by a community business leader and a coach, and practice the business skills of problem understanding, ideation, and solution finding.

Five college makerspaces funded by the CCC Maker Initiative — Allan Hancock College, Cabrillo College, Folsom Lake College, Sacramento City College, and Sierra College –participated in the Spring 2019 pilot of the Makermatic Team Internship Program.
