Over 2,500 community members attended the second annual SoCal MakerSpace Festival hosted by College of the Canyons on March 23rd. This event showcased STE(A)M innovators, Makers/tinkers, artists, educators, COC students, as well as K-12 and industry partners with over 45 exhibitors, workshops, and speakers, including Lockheed Martin engineer, William Hardwood, Saugus High student and entrepreneur, Niamani Knight, and NASA scientist, Dr. David Ciardi. Attendees enjoyed hands-on activities for makers of all ages and demonstrations of new and emerging technologies by COC Makerspace faculty, staff and students.
