Sierra Makerspaces and Folsom Lake College’s Innovation Center teamed up to prepare students for internships supported by CCC Maker and the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC) on June 14. Twenty students, including seven from FLC, spent the day earning three New World of Work digital badges, creating LinkedIn accounts, preparing resumes, and setting up their accounts on the Career Catalyst system managed by the FCCC.
Megan Prichett, internship coordinator for FLC, commented “Thank you so much for welcoming our FLC interns to the training at Sierra College yesterday. I know it was a little bit of a hectic start, but the content was great and they left feeling more competent than when the came in. I think we can call that a win!”
