A student designed and built ‘grand entrance gate’ is being fabricated in the Welding Lab, making it’s debut at the 4th Rocklin Mini-Maker Faire. The MMF is organized by the City of Rocklin and hosted on the Sierra College Rocklin campus. The structure will be used to countdown and open the Faire to the community on Saturday October 6, and will also be used for other events such as Weld Expo or CTE Day. Many have engaged in the project, from student designer Travis, to student builders and master Makers and Mentors, Ray and Prof. Bill. Plasma CAM Prof. Anna invited her class to design and fabricate metal art to adorn the structure – I hear that their work is amazing! Can’t wait to see this set up next Friday!
