Laney FabLab builds props for TEDx Oakland

TEDx Event – Oakland October 22, 2017

In the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program helps communities, organizations and individuals produce TED-style events at the local level.  TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis, under a free license from TED.

In October 2017, the first TEDxOakland event was held in one of the most diverse racially balanced cities in America, bringing together bold speakers with innovative, inspirational and challenging ideas worth sharing.  As one of the sponsors, Laney College FabLab was instrumental in designing and building the stage set, outdoor signage, and the awards for each presenter.
