Million Cups San Bernardino. The event, is a free, monthly gathering that fosters small business development throughout the Inland Empire. Developed by the Kaufman Foundation, EDCT Foundation proudly hosts this event to help accelerate local entrepreneur mentorship, networking, and opportunity for growth of small businesses in the region and encourages students from San Bernardino Valley College, Crafton Hills College, and the District to participate.
This month, Mike Miller, Co-Founder of Wild Horse Labs – an L.A.-based international and education and investment network – gave an enthusiastic presentation focused on micro business development and the importance of partnership when creating the building blocks for your small business.
After the presentation, Ashley Gaines, EDCT Foundation Executive Director, shared IE Accelerator development with our first equipment order and directed participants toward the IE Accelerator vendor booth set up at the event. Students and entrepreneurs were able to see the Cricut Makers and Ultimaker 3D printers up-close, as well as a few prototypes of the different types of projects and products they would be able to create once the makerspace is open. The IE Accelerator will continue to be promoted at these monthly entrepreneur networking events with a vendor booth as we get closer to bringing in our second round of equipment.
1 Million Cups San Bernardino events include time for networking while enjoying a free breakfast, and allow for one to two speakers to discuss their start-ups and business-related topics. Vendor booths are also available upon request. For more information, please visit www.edctfoundation.org/pages/1mc or www.facebook.com/1MillionCupsSB.
