Two CCC Maker colleges in the north region, Sacramento City College and Sierra College, as well as Yuba College are offering new Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining classes starting in this fall semester. Makerspaces are the ideal place where college students can discover the joy of making and explore fabricating careers. Several CCC Maker colleges offer machining tools in their makerspaces. Community colleges are responding to manufacturers’ need for employees qualified with CNC skills by building labs filled with industrial equipment and offering new courses.
