Exploring Making and the Stars

The Moreno Valley College STEM Mobile Innovation Center team was on the road to Tomas Rivera Middle School in Val Verde Unified School District where they held their First Annual Astronomy night Friday, January 26, 2018.

Students were able to observe the moon and stars using telescopes and participate in face painting, slime making, and other science themed activities.  Moreno Valley College brought their planetarium and provided multiple sessions teaching students, faculty, and parents about the stars and the effect air and light pollution on viewing them, the moon and it’s various features, and the solar system. Thank you to all who came to visit, make, and learn.
