CCC Maker College Symposium – Southern California – Glendale Community College
CCC Maker College Teams are invited to participate in the first of two symposia to share our progress, discuss key topics in project implementation and develop topics for academic papers for submission to conferences and publications.
The focus of the symposium will be Internships and Work-Based Learning including internship preparation, student on-boarding, employer outreach and internship assessment as part of a continuous improvement model. Colleges wishing to present their work will be invited to submit an abstract.
The symposium will be coordinated by Brie Lindsey, Senior Program Associate with the California Council on Science and Technology, and will feature speakers, discussion panels and working groups.
The event will be hosted by Glendale CommunityCollege, who also invite attendees to return to GCC on Saturday, 17 March for the GCC Makerfaire.
CCC Maker Colleges are also invited to the Northern California symposium to be held at Folsom Lake College on 13 April. The focus of the second symposium will be Making Across the Curriculum.
An invitation and more information will be sent to all CCC Maker Colleges in the near future.
