Create Handmade Gifts at Holiday Maker Workshop on Dec. 6

  • Bring your family to share the joy of learning to make gifts by hand, get photos taken with Santa and participate in the ugly sweater contest.
  • Show your holiday spirit by donating canned food to the Sierra College Student Food Pantry.
  • The Squeeze Inn Food Truck will be onsite for food and drink purchases.

The 3rd Annual Sierra College Makerspaces Holiday Maker Workshop will be on Friday, December 6 from 5 to 8 pm. Community members are invited to make handmade gifts at 15 creative maker stations at Hacker Lab powered by Sierra College, located at 4415 Granite Dr., Suite 200, Rocklin CA. Tickets are $5 per person, online in advance at or cash only at the door.

Volunteers will be helping makers at each station to create the gifts and all the craft making materials are provided. Maker stations include designing ornaments, making wreaths, sewing faux fur pom-poms, laser cutting keychains, painting signs, using wood burning tools, building gnomes and experiencing the holiday slime station. Everyone is welcome; activities are ideal for crafters ages seven and older.

Sierra College appreciates the support of the Arts Council of Placer County, CCC Maker, Hacker Lab powered by Sierra College, Sierra College Foundation and the Squeeze Inn Food Truck that makes this community event possible.
