On April 28, Moreno Valley College and several California Community Colleges joined to engage with the California Cyberhub to host the California Mayors Cup Cyber Competition, to help coordinate, promote, and develop this concept. All locations were linked with live video feed to inspire the feeling of a state-wide community and come back to the core idea that “we are in it together.”
Eight teams from each region represented their respective city and competed in a 6-hour academic cyber challenge mitigating cyber vulnerabilities in Windows and Linux platforms, in addition to cyber forensics. The teams competed live across the state with an active scoreboard recording their successful endeavors.
This was a wonderful event for educators, civic leaders, business leaders, industry experts, parents and students. Advancing Cybersecurity in California!
