Bay Area Maker Faire – CCC Maker Celebration!

The 2019 Bay Area Maker Faire was the site for CCC Maker’s celebration by representatives from community colleges throughout the state.  Starting on Friday, May 17, the event started out by the premier of Michelle Zamora’s new video (https://youtu.be/oH12p18xRXc).  Carol Pepper-Kittredge, statewide project director, brought the CCC Maker leadership team on stage to thank them and have Sierra College Creative Consultant, Heather Lincoln, present customized awards recognizing them for their work.

Nicole, Folsom Lake College, MC’d the student showcase

Nicole Shuman, Folsom Lake College, took over as MC and shared her story about how the FLC Innovation Center Makerspace had changed the trajectory of her life.  Nine additional students spoke about their projects at their college makerspace, and how their involvement had allowed them to learn, explore and make a difference.  Students who presented at the student showcase were:
