Bay Area Maker Faire 2019

The culminating event for the California Community College Maker Initiative was the Bay Area Maker Faire which took place from Friday May 17 through Sunday May 19. At the event, students from the various colleges that participated in the initiative had an opportunity to present their projects and share what they have gained from their association with the campus MakerSpaces.

Ivy Lovett presents information about her project, The Portel. Ivy will be attending UCLA in the fall.


In addition, students staffed a CCC Maker booth, where attendees at the Faire were able to view a number of student projects as well as gain information about the implementation of the initiative and learn about the facilities available on the various campuses.

Alec Nguyen provides instruction and assistance in making buttons for some young attendees.
